Anglian Home Improvements – Most customers, Not most reccomended

Well here we go again they’ve been saying it for a while, but finally and at last that statement most reccomended has to be lost by Anglian. Hooray for intelligence how any company can say they are the most reccomended is beyond me. They may have the most customers (possibly) but judging by the amount of complaints that are put out here in the e-world I’d be very sceptical if they were most reccomended, because you know the saying for everyone one that complains there’s another ten that don’t. I’d also like to see the proof that 90% of there customers would reccomend them, and until they could prove it they shouldn’t make that statement either.

Customer satisfaction is a very important factor when reccomending a company my company has a 93% Reccomendation and were highly delighted with the service, and anyone who wants to see the proof you are quite welcome to visit me and I’ll gladly show you all of my customer feedback information sheets.  I’m still working on the other 7%, but we all know who own double Glazing companies there’s always 2-3% you’ll never please so really I’m working on the other 4% to get them right!!

Any way enough from me and on with the official line:

“Anglian Home Improvements has been rapped by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) for misleading customers in its direct mail pack.

The pack, created by The Point, used the heading, ‘Big savings across all our product ranges this Spring’ with smaller text at the bottom of the page stated ‘More customers, most recommended’.

Further text stated ‘Springtime! What better time of year to think about improving your home? Especially now that our new spring offers are bursting out across the entire Anglian product range … Whatever you have in mind, Anglian, the most recommended home improvement company around, will design, build and install your home improvement for less this Spring … ‘.

The ASA upheld the complaint that ‘most recommended’ could not be substantiated.

Anglian urged it was the biggest company in the home improvement sector through volume of sales and had more customers than anyone else and because its recommendation rate was always above 90 per cent, it was mathematically impossible for another company to be more recommended.

The company was told by the ASA however, not to repeat the pack again in its current form again. ”
