We have just gone fully energy rated for all our window installations I think it’s a definate step forward sort of a double whammy, cost effective and saving money on heating it’s a great time to buy windows at the moment for the consumer and here’s why.
The current climate is pushing average order values down and the companies are having to offer more for the customer. It’s always good to look around and see what’s happening in the market, however I have also noticed a tendency to have a massive amount of quotes from everyone ranging from Everest through to the local builder….
The only thing I would say is customers should make sure what they are getting for their money and research things properly at the end of the day every single one of us will say we are better we’ve got this or that, but it’s the customers money, and they’ve got to be happy in all areas of the companies they are dealing with. Some people don’t care about the companies or the product just the pound signs these customers are the ones undoubtedly who generally always end up on Watchdog, X Ray and the Ferrett saying I paid them 3 grand and this is what I’ve got. To me the people who look solely at price and nothing else are fair game for the cowboys, but they shouldn’t moan when things go wrong it’s the old addidge you pay peanuts you get monkeys. (There’s a reason why they are cheap!)
The other thing is there is no need to deal with cowboys as the price of replacing your windows is the lowest it has ever been, so all we need to do as companies is offer a fair price to both the consumer and ourselves and inform the customer of exactly our service and product and do them a favour they are generally an intelligent bunch let them make their own minds up and the end of the day they have to live with the final result because at the end of the day when that van drives away and the cash is out of their banks what they’ve got installed they’ve got to live with.
